Policy Guidelines For Fixed Route Services
The Gorge Transit providers prioritize maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all passengers and drivers. Riders who do not follow guidelines may be expelled and/or suspended from using the service.
PETS
- All dogs must be on leash.
- No dogs on seats; they must remain either on the floor or on the owner’s lap.
- All other animals must be in a confined container or carrier.
- Drivers may refuse to transport or may request the removal of an animal if it is creating a hazard or disturbance.
- Service animals as defined under ADA regulations Part 37 are welcome aboard the Gorge Transit provider vehicles.
BIKES
- Bike racks are to be used when available. Other options may be available on a case-by-case basis.
- Space for the bike is first come first served.
- Riders must secure their own bikes.
KIDS
The public transit system welcomes all riders. However, bus drivers have the right to refuse service to any rider 10 and under who is without supervision. Call the provider to find out if pre-authorization for young riders is needed.
LUGGAGE, BAGS, STROLLERS
Passengers must be able to carry on their bags and luggage at one time and place them under the seat or in their laps. Don’t block aisles or doors. Drivers cannot assist with bags. Strollers should be folded.
ACCESSIBILITY
All buses are mobility-device accessible and drivers are trained to assist passengers with disabilities.

FARES
You can pay the driver with cash or with the Gorge Transit Pass (annual pass) which is accepted by CAT, The Link, Mt Adams Transportation Services, Skamania County Transit.

HOLIDAYS
Three Gorge Transit providers (Mt Adams Transportation Services, Skamania County Transit, The Link) do not provide fixed route services on federal holidays, which may fall on a Friday or Monday.
